Robert A. Skinner Chlorine Containment & Handling Facility

The design for a new chlorine containment and handling facility near Lake Skinner includes the use of cast-in-place concrete, translucent panels and corrugated metal siding in keeping with the industrial nature of the facilities, and juxtaposes these in a manner that creates visual interest in a volume that is necessarily large and simple. Consideration for the view of the roof by approaching commuters resulted in a curved, standing-seam metal roof.
